Welcome to STAN

Save The Animal Nepal (STAN), is a non-profit Animal Welfare Organization, which is dedicated to Late Dr. Thir Bahadur Singh K.C, the first Veterinary graduate of Nepal.

STAN was established in 2009 A.D which is registered under Nepal Government Ministry of Home Affairs District Administration Office Kathmandu, Government Ministry of Local Development Office of the District Government Committee and also in Social Welfare Council Kathmandu, Nepal. The main office is in Dillibazar and its shelter is in Kirtipur.

STAN aims to prevent unnecessary animal suffering and abuse of animals by humans. We at STAN want to ensure a quality life and humane treatment of the animals. We strongly believe that loving animals is a part of being human.

We at STAN strongly believe that awareness campaigns should be conducted in order to reduce animal cruelty which is rampant throughout the country. Through proactive intervention, public education and community outreach, STAN aims to make a better place for animals to live in our communities.

STAN therefore wants to appeal every individual along with national and international animal organization to go hand in hand and fight against the spirit of unconscious cruelty with which we treat the animals. Animals suffer as much as we do. True humanity does not really allow us to impose such sufferings on them. It is our duty to make the whole world recognize it. Until we do not extend our circle of compassion to all living beings humanity will not find peace.

Freedom is desired by all humans and it is the same for animals. The freedom for animals to lead a quality life is very essential. They need to be treated in a humane way by providing the basic freedoms and health requirements.

We humans have a lot to learn from animals as they teach us valuable lessons through their natural enthusiasm, grace, resourcefulness, affection and forgiveness. Perhaps by loving and understanding animals, we humans shall come to understand each other.
